Went bass fishing yesterday and I got to a section of the lake where I saw what looked like thousands of jellyfish. Has anyone else ever run into any of these?

found this... not Walden where I was but I have seen them in the past years at several lakes.

They are in several lakes in the adirondacks. They are cool as heck. Don't worry about getting stung, I've picked them up. Their stingers are too small to go through our skin.

My uncle owned a summer house up in Maine it was right on a lake and we'd always see them in the water.

I wasn't worried about that... The wind was blowing them into one side of the lake and I didn't get a single bite in the whole area. I normally do very well in the area they were in too.

Ive seen them before in my local lake. Thousands of them. Checked online when I got home later and found a site that asked for people to report them. I did and never heard back from him.
They were there three years in a row but saw none this year. The fishing seemed to be better when they were around.
