What really works is take the trout eggs tie them up with a spawnee egg tier and dump a lot of sugar on them, what the sugar does is create juices and the juicyer the better. You will be amazed with the results but eggs only work when there spawning after that it is goodbye eggs hello power bait.
I only fish on days that end in Y

My two cents...I use the water hardening method but I do it a little different than what has been mentioned.

Always keep a ladies stocking in your river gear. Put the fresh eggs in the stocking and tie it to your pants so it hangs in the cold river. Continue fishing. After 15-20 minutes put them in a Ziploc 
TA DA, cured eggs. Freeze em if you want or use em.

Tip of the week...Use new stockings, not your wife's old ones with holes in them :laugh:

I have just caught a few stocker trout and they appear to have mouhts full of bass or sunny spawn eggs.
Slip bobber fishing and ice lounger.
