Crappie Anglers,
Over the past 3 years I have been involved in trying to get Crappie USA to come to the northeast and host a few crappie tourneys. They have given me every excuse in the world and I am now in touch with the proper authorities to host a few crappie tournaments here in Maine. I'll be doing the leg work to get sponsors and also have input from fellow anglers on set rules for this type of tournament. What I would like is to be able to compell a list of waters that host a decent population of crappie. If you could come up with some waters, I would greatly appreciate it.

John, that's going to be a hard sell for southern Maine. We do have plenty of crappie, but you find the kids love to catch them. After all, a good fishing hole is kept secret for a reason, even with kids. In southern Maine, Sebago has the lagest crappie in the state. You should speak with the towns involved and the state first. My back yard is open to those who pick up after themselves. paul   wink

Thank you all for your time and help. In do time, I believe that you will see a Crappie tournament here in Maine. Hopefully with help from the state, we can have a whole trail of tournaments.
