I have a question.... Why do people enter fish that are already smaller than the top 4? If its not bigger than the one in first, second, and third... why enter it? A good example would be the crappie, there have been 6 crappie entered, the smallest being little over 11" I think, and today someone entered one that's 7".

It makes no sense!

End rant. rolleyes

My 8 yr old son "maggot" has entered because he was just proud to have an entry.
Don't get your panties in a bunch because some 8yr old kid posted an entry just to be part of the tourney.
The kids could post an entry with every fish they catch and I would not have a problem with it.
Sit back and relax, life is too short!!!!!

Congrats to the boy. grin  Well stated!  Any fish caught is trophy to a kid.  Their good times on the water will encourage them to being a future sportsmen.

I have mounted my boys first catches.  Even small ones count

exactly brokenline, theres a lot more to a contest than the entry"s themselves.it just shows you that some people are doing it for the wrong reasons.there are so many experiences for a kid to see and witness.

I asked the question to see if people would listen to me and be respectful to the people running this tourney. They spend a lot of time (hard earned time, im sure they have jobs) checking through all the entries and they don't need people wasting their time entering fish that are smaller than the top 3.

Its disrespectful to the people that have to look through all of them.

I guess we figured out who are the respectful people and who don't give a rats *** about the people that spend their free time running this tourney.

If you guys want to enter fish that are smaller than the top 3, why don't you ask the people in charge to make a sub category for small fish.
