Not big by Erie standards, but it is by mine.

Here's one I caught on M&Ms.

Thats nuts, Ive been a few feet from some real big bears, but never by choice. Im not scared of bears and I enjoy encountering them in the woods unlike many people, but petting them takes some kahones, Ill snap some pics, but Im not petting them.

It is fun to have wild anamals as friends, I had some deer that would come up to me and just wanted to be peted, I don't think i could ever get close to them in the woods but when they came to my place it was different.  I allways have bears in the summer and they seem to be friendly and just hang around and sometimes even bring there cubs out to show me.  I never let them get close enough to pet but i am sure it would be easy if i had goodies for the bears.  I know i couldn't get close to them in the woods but they come to the cabin and things are on there terms.

I guess I should have added a disclaimer;

"Do not attempt this at home"

or

"Only attempt under adult supervision"

I know of different cases of people in my area that loved to feed bears at their hunting camps (cabins), and neither turned out good in the end. They would feed them marshmallows and hot dogs. They ran out of "treats" and figured their fingers would substatute well. They had lots of good visits from bears, but it only takes one bad one. Nice pics though.
