1st time out in 2010 for smallies in Northern VT. Surface water temps were warmer than I thought..44 degrees and 46 by end of day. Usually still ice on the lakes most years! Anyways, caught 6-8 chunks in between testing everything out on the boat and finding some new spots. Biggest fish were 4.3 and 4.5 - awesome colors though and these fish fought hard. Back at it in two weeks - enjoy the report!

Nothing like a new wax on the boat

After 1/2 hour of nothing - I started communicating with the fish gods :bs:

Then they came - all off rocky shoals in 8-18 feet of water

Absolute chunks

My two best... just clean fish...

Best producer...

Also worked...

Haven't changed the hooks out yet... but still produced

Nice trip Jeff. Those fish are awesome and so is the boat
When you don't have luck next time just stick your hand in the water.
