Nice RG.

Last few weeks, in between heat waves, when the water temps got cool enough, I poked around a few trout haunts...

You're sure having fun with The Brookie Buster.

What's that reel you hackle on it?

The Genny ought to be in real nice shape after this dry spell. Wanna take a ride?

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Never tied one. They ought to pick a different name.

Gumo, did you get them on a trico? Tricos have been working most mornings.

Actually Bob, that is an old #4/5 wt. Lamiglass I built last winter.  It has been my go to rod most of the summer.  Its paired with an old trusty Martin 65

Would love to take a ride but I am tied up likely for about 2 weeks between work and a trip up north next week with the wife.  Heading into the ADK's for 4-5 days.  Yes I plan on fishing   ;D

You referring to the egg pattern?

All it really is, is 'sucker spawn' fly tied with diamond braid.  That's how I tie mine anyways...

Look up sucker spawn fly on you tube.....

Heck of a spring time carp fly.

Let me know when you get back Gump. Plenty of season left.

Hit some pay dirt while hiking around the Fulton Chain in the ADK's last week.  Tried a flow between a couple lakes on a hunch and I found a few.

Between hunting and low and clear water conditions on many streams in western NY, I haven't done much fishing.  Had the bug this past weekend however and drove to find water...big water.   150,000 cfs ain't for the faint of heart !  ::)
