Ok, you're hooked. Nice going.  Your first pick is where I hooked my first brown in that riffle (a 20 incher) more than 30 years ago. I've been hooked ever since.

If you ever  need any intel, give me a shout.

and the fish do get picky in the summer.

in the dry fly category I use an olive duckwinged caddis size 16 tied by Carl Coleman, but a tan elk hair caddis 16 works well also. The ant has worked on occasion  and now the tricos are producing  if you can fool a trout in sizes 20-22. My go to nymph is a gold beadhead pheasent tail nymph size 16.

Who Needs a Fishing License?
You need a fishing license if you are 16 years and older and fishing for:

Freshwater fish species by angling, spearing, hooking, longbow, and tip-ups.
Frog species by spearing, catching with the hands or by use of a club or hook.
Freshwater baitfish for personal use.
Note: You need a marine fishing registration if fishing for migratory fish of the sea and saltwater fish species.

You do not need a fishing license if you are:

Fishing on a licensed fishing preserve
Fishing during the free fishing weekend
Fishing at a free fishing clinic
A resident landowner primarily engaged in farming (including lessees and members of their immediate families) when fishing on farm lands they are occupying and cultivating.
A farm fish pond license holder (including members of their immediate families) fishing on waters covered by the license.
A Native American living and fishing on reservation land.
A patient residing at a qualifying U.S. Veterans Administration hospital or facility in New York State.

it  doesn't matter that he has a green card what matters is if he has proof  of  NY state residanncy  if  so he gets a  state  resident  license if  he is  not a  NY resident he gets a  non NY resident license ......this  occurs everyday  in wal marts  in Oswego  as  people come to  fish for salmon
you can destroy buildings  you can't  destroy the  american spirit
