Thanks guys.  Making up for lost time.  Because of my line of work, I don't fish the summer that much.  Now is when I can play for a few months.  I never travel any length of time without at least one travel rod....always try and set aside a small period of time on a trip to explore waters.  I also give credit to my wife who recognizes my passion and is very tolerant (and also participates) in my addiction.  Bless her....

Hang on to her Gump!
Mine has been "tolerant" for 45 years now. Real keepers are a catch of  lifetime.

I know how you feel fellas... been married to my lovely sportswoman for going on 24 years now. There's been more than one deer season where we would not have venison if it weren't for her!! She's a darn good fisherman (oops, I meant fisherperson) too! She likes all types of fishing but she likes to be pampered a bit when it comes to ice fishing. She'll "bucket hop" with me on mild days but prefers the Clam Nanook flipover if it's darn cold out! I feel very fortunate to have a woman like her... especially seeing as how she puts up with all my other BS!!  ;D

I was chatting with a fellow fly fisher today at work. He was showing me his latest tie. A mulberry imitation. Man....it gave me the itch really bad.

I know...it's another 3 1/2 months till the berry drop.......but, I can't wait.

Have you ever fly fished e Rudd at Seneca Lake State Park marina in the spring? It's a hoot! Some of them get to 3-4 lbs. very early yet though. Just a solid case of spring fever here. :-\

Those rudd? are no joke. Have caught them at Watkins Glen pier while perch fishing. Starting to see some early stones hatching here.

Some mid winter eye candy for you old farts.....  Been out on some streams since Christmas with the mild temps.

Combination of tributary fish and some WILD inland gems...

You can also see some repetition in my hot tributary fly in some of the photos.
