Well with low water and quickly warming water temps, my trout fishing might be slowing down. Not that I have done a whole heck of a lot, but I am grateful for every minute on the stream. Here are a few of my favorites from the Finger Lakes region. All these fish are wild fish from little known streams that have taken a bit to research and 'test' out.

Gump, great pics as always. You're a good fly fisher and photog as well.
Always impressive.

I don't eat fish but did manage 22 brown trout todayC&R , all on a woodduck winged olive caddis size 16. had to start at sunrise to get the hatch;caddis , sulfurs and something so small I couldn't see it!water warm at 58 deg. which is gettting up there for May.

I was on the creek for a while yesterday's. Managed a couple rock bass. Water was mid summer conditions with substantial weed growth. Gin clear as well.
Had a pod of carp all set to go when 3 young men came paddling through. End of story.
But... They were having a lot of fun. Better than some things they could have been doing.

Thanks guys. I try to put a different perspective on my angling pics when I can. Some of those shots were actually off my phone which is a Galaxy 6. The others were off my Canon sx530 Powershot. Some have been edited using Instagram or right on my phone.
In honor of the day here is one I took a couple weeks back at the Bath National Cemetary after I was done fishing the Cohocton....
I am Thankful...

I could tell you ....but......you know the consequences.
I gave them to a friend at work for his 88 year old mom. She loves fish and he doesn't get time to catch any for her. I don't know his mom, but he's a really nice guy.
Fly was a crossover fly which for some reason escapes my memory......as does the location etc
But, I'm old and memory comes and goes........on an as needed basis

I'm gonna try it again tomorrow morning. Worked pretty well last week. So, what the heck.
