If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

So, they're trying to revive a 1906 law?

i bet there are some old timers who remember 1906.  We have enough trouble enforcing the laws we have.  The state must be trying to get creative with generating revenue.
Opinions expressed here are my own, and do not reflect those of my employers.  Thank you, have a happy day and please drive through.

Just goes to show we were messed up in 1906 too.

 OK...  ALL JOKES ASIDE....
Saturday night I was out with a friend who's girlfriend just took a boater safety course and received a permit.. She said that the instructor teaching the course said that next year everyone is going to be required to take the course and get their permit to drive a boat in New York.
I have looked high and low for any info on this and have been unable to find anything on this new regulation.
This is the second time someone has mentioned this to me... sense FM brought it up last week. I think that this really does warrent some serious looking into.. I would hate to have these slimy lawmakers pull another fast one on us like they did with the PFD Reg.

The safe boaters coarse came into law this year in Canada. Everyone operating a boat must have the safe boaters coarse. If you get caught without it you will get fined. I am sure the money from the coarse will not be put back into the sport
