Live right on 18 mile in burt and fish the creek all year long.
I literally have fished with just about every method possible on this creek...float rods, fly rods, baitcasters, spinning..etc and all I can say is that at any given time one of these set ups are better than the others....middle of winter by the dam, love my float rod...middle of october would not even think of using it due to all the people that are there...when I have to fish a small area nothing beats my fly rod....fishing of the peir, love the spinning rod...and trolling j-11s for spring trout the baitcaster works great...one thing that the elitist would probably think is insane is that I will sometimes use bait on my flyrod and flys on my float rod.
