You keep such a tidy tying bench. Mine looks like it was hit by a cyclone!!!!!!

Well Santa dropped an early gift down the chimney.

Meth lab?

Very nice Bob.
Not sure how it happened.
Cause I just know you were on the "naughty" list.

I'm my own best friend  Mac ;D

I do try to keep my bench in order. When it gets sloppy, my flies get sloppy too. It's some ancient form of OCD.

Tried working on a Caddis Pupae pattern this morning. It's a tricky little pattern until one gets in a rhythm. Gave up. Just didn't have it today. It goes like that for me. Most days it feels perfectly natural. But some days, it's best to do something else.

I tie almost every day, for a while at least. Kinda like practicing the guitar, ukulele  or piano. I get lost at the bench.

I think NY needs a program to help those poor suicidal deer. A deep woods hotline or something. Maybe we can get some of those NYC politicians to start one.

Found this neat LED light at Wally World for $20 so I decided to mount it to my tying board. I like the bamboo cutting board as a base. It has a groove around the perimeter that keeps beads and such from rolling off the bench. The background is easy  on the eyes too.

While I was at it I decided to inlet some pretty good ceramic magnets I found at Lowes to keep the vise from moving around. Sometimes I get kind of aggressive and the new vise with the fixed base was moving on me. I tried to drill a hole in the magnets to mount with a screw.......fat chance.......so I gorilla glued them in place.

I set the vise base on top to make sure the magnets ended up flush with the surface.

Worked out pretty nice. Good light and that vise simply will not move  ;D
