That looks nice!  What size is it?    ;D
One more with the one we're after and we'll have two.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Are you using dubbing brushes for those?

I need some coaching on using dubbing brushes. I made a pretty decent brush table and understand the process, but they always seem to end up looking like a road kill cat.

I usually brush mine with the dubbing brush to get that scruffy look and add bulk then go to town on it afterwards with a toothbrush to style it ( i guess that's what you'd call it)...
I have noticed though that some dubbing should just be left alone after being applied to the fly in a dubbing loop. Like the fine kind you would use on real small nymphs. Unless its fine with long fibers to keep the material intact..

I dont know... That's my opinion.. Certainly no pro!!

1-1 decent bobbin - Holds your thread
2-Good pair of small tying scissors - Obvious
3-Whip finisher- To finish your fly/ terminate the thread
4-Bodkin- Pick to pick out fibers and hackle.
5- Hackle Pliers- Pliers to holds hackle and other materials while applying to your flies. Mainly Hackle and Schlappen .

These tools will get you started. Having tools 1-3 will at least get you building flies.
Depending on what type of flies you want to make will depend on the need for further tools such as stackers, dubbing brushes, tube fly pins/vise, etc.

That's my opinion...
