Portsmouth NH docks
« on: Jun 02, 2012, 11:54 AM »
had the week off, weather sucked , so wife and i went up to portmouth for a couple of nights. i brought my fresh water pole with 6 lb line and fished the docks in Prescott park early am. not often i fish soft water, spent about 5 hours out there over 2 days and only 2 dinks to show for it...no shunk though..

used a variety of lures- 1 oz silver/ blue castmaster, a 3" sand eel with a 1/3 oz jig head, a a bass top water popper.

tons of small silver fish around the docks.
managed 2 fish, both on the cast master. one was a mackeral, the other i have no idea.

mackeral pic..a scholl must of came thru the dock as thousands of the small silver fish were jumping out of the water. i managed one fish as it seemed they just blasted right on through the area.

mystery fish

went to the Press Room bar one night and battled some Bushmills..lost that one

thank god for hearty breakfast at Colby's in the am..
