Mudpuppies?

Can you use mudpuppies for bait??? The nasty disgusting lizard looking things that live totally under water.

I've used them allot but you have to find the little ones  3 or 4 inches is optimal

Cjeck your state game laws.  In some states they are protected others require you to have a harvesting permit.

We us to catch em by hand when we were kids but you can catch em in a minnow trap too.

Don't know, but I caught one in February on a tip-up while ice fishing!  About 10" long, if I would have had a bucket to keep it alive i would have used it for Pike once the ice left.
Time not spent outdoors is wasted time.....
