No depth
« on: May 19, 2013, 10:23 AM »
I just purchased the minn kota ipilot v2 and put a humming bird 581i on it. Took it in the water and everything seem to work but the depth. The depth will be current then bounce around all over. The depths will bounce around and know the screen is constantly changing because depth is changing. Any suggestions on a fix would be great thanks...

Not saying this is the problem but I have seen the same thing happen when the bows bouncing due to waves. Two things to check. Make sure the transducer is saying under water and that the refresh speed is set high.

Also make sure the transducer is parallel with the bottom.  I often have to adjust mine to ensure that it's reading properly.
