I will be going up to arthur to duck hunt next saturday wondering if it is worth fishing when the birds slow down.

what do you fish for fishinmike and when do the birds slowdown?the key to slabs on Arthur is usually to find structure usually brush piles.its not a easy lake but it has some real nice fish.

I forgot about this site. I fish for bass and striper in the spring and summer but dont fish once hunting season starts.  Would like to try for crappie though.  Is there good fishing for them when the ice clears up?

Went yesterday from 6:30pm to 9. Caught a couple of small crappie. Does anyone know how far can i take my boat up muddy creek? I can't find a map with depths online.

I have a john boat and can probally make it all the way to the jack dam but the weeds start to get thick once you get to the island.  Iv never tried this early in the year though so the weeds might not be a problem.

Hang twords the right side of muddy creek, you'd be suprized how far you can go before it gets sketchy.

Water temp was 58-61.  Caught one bass casting a gold jerk bait.  Drifted worm harneses for a while with no luck then trolled the road beds with no luck.  Any tips on catching walleye.
