Palomar. Very easy to tie and should work with almost every type of line.
It seems to go from zero to hero all some have to do is lie.

regular clinch knot and palomar knot for me, both super simple and they'll hold better than any other knot i know of with light line.

I know I have an app on my phone with all the knots. Its nice because I forget half of them. LOL  And I know what you are saying about not being able to see the line. I really have a hard time ice fishing tying new knots.  :(

Light line? Unless I'm fishing for Great Lakes walleye, I never go heavier than 8. Light line is 1lb or 2lb. Most of my reels are spooled with 4lb

Run the tag end of a trilene knot back through itself like an improved clinch.  Solid knot with light line and you can tie it in the dark.

I dunno why but the blood knot is a pain for me, I use it for connecting mono back to my braid and it always takes me a couple trys

Danny b      I used to use a blood knot for mono to braid also. Then I changed to an Albright knot. I found it to be easier to tie and it holds. Any way it just to backing.
