Good question and I don't know myself. I do fish a lake or two where they stocked about 8-10 years ago and quit but you can still get Walleye in these lakes. I would think for them to have maintained some sort of level that long you would think they are spawning. |

I guess then there is the question, what is the expected mortality rate on stocked fish in the 6 inch range? |

I have no idea Delta. Maybe the DNR might have an idea. Might be a while before you get an answer, I tried to find out some info from them before and I don't remember if they got back to me or not...... ??? |

I've tried before emailing dnr with no luck on something else. And it seems on the phone it depends on who you talk to, on what information they can give. in the fish stocking report for this lake, looks like some 17,000 6 to 7 inchers have been stocked since 2003, with 3000 each for 2009,2011 and 2013. Its a 840 acre lake with a average depth of 18 fow. Anyhow with that info, and only being 5 miles away hoping to have some walleye with the morel's in a few weeks. |
