Rat.....are the gills where you fish still real shallow or at this time of year are you finding them in the 8-10' depth range?

here in greene co gills are still shallow,edge of weeds about one foot under surface,using a carlisle hook size 14
with small piece of worm and some times a white plastic one in.long with worm

answer to your P.M.
yes ,i have tryed lead head jigs both with collars and with out ,but i missed more fish,maybe
because the gills inhale food like bass
will get stock photo of leadhead for you

went fishing for a few hr. with wife on 10,11,use the same rig, all C/R about
30 gills,15 seeds, 1 bass, 6 BIG shinners

went out on the 13 for several hr. with wife for gills and we caught about 46 all C/R
WITH  the same rig as before

we find the gills in the weeds,about one foot under the water use worms and white plastic
