Went 3 for 7 on the bullheads Friday night. I think ice out was Monday or Tuesday. It was a very light bite. Should only get better. Hopefully my hookup ratio improves.

Went out Friday night for an unscheduled round of bullhead fishing. I was helping a friend fill his bucket, the bite was going good until 9:30. We were getting ready to pick up our gear when we heard a commotion. One of my rods goes flying through the air and into the drink at a rapid rate. I saw it hit the water and submarine away. Sure wish I could have seen what took the bait!! Now I get to go shopping for a new rod & reel!

went out in may fished the back side and saw bunch of bullhead all schooled up, must of been 50 or so just swimming in circles also saw five bass that was at least 6 to 8 pounds cruising around wouldn't bite only managed a couple of smallies on the way back along the side of the lake with a jointed rapala. its about that time to use the top water plug along the shore! good luck out there! 8)

Pondpro my buddy saw the same thing with the bullhead. He said he came upon multiple groups in numbers estimated in the 200 range, all grouped together on the surface, slurping air. They weren't spooked at all by his kayak. He could reach down and touch them. Any one know what they are up to? Mating ritual?

Hit the lake tues.   Windy and cold.  Slow bite.   Jigged the drops for bass.  picked up two med.    Lost a nice one on a spinnerbait.   At least not to bad, weed wise. Geo.
