Raising Fat Heads

I want to raise some for bait and to feed the pond. How big of a basket would I have to build to keep them going? I though of buying a good amount here when the truck comes around. Just don't want the fish to eat all of them.

My dad has a pond. It has a beach area and the sand goes into the water. What we ended up doing was using some chicken wire fencing made a decent size area for the minnows to have a bass free zone. They reproduced great in their.

you can also put in some wood pallets (make sure you get the untreated ones) in the shallows for the fatheads to hide in where the bass can't get them. I think they will also spawn on or near them.
