Crappie Monday!

Hooked up with Fishslayer today and we got a nice double limit of crappie 76 total caught. Didn't start until 2pm left at 7. Plastic tubes was the hot bait today.

Wow, those are some pretty crappies.  Just curious how deep you were finding them?  I'm assuming their starting to become pretty active?

They all were caught in 2-3fow on 1- 2" tube jigs fishing 10" deep. Sunday we got a few on minnows, but they were hitting so fast and furious on tubes we quit using them. The pic with 3 crappies laying in the bottom of the boat were caught at the same time. 2 on tubes and 1 on minnow.

This spot is very hit or miss. I have not hit it right in 3yrs...these fish move up shallow for a few days(a week tops) then its over.

Glad to see you gave them eyes a break. You have to save some room in the freezer for the crappie. Couple more trips like that one then the gills are next followed by perch. I gather all fish coming out of the same lake?

No 2 totally different lakes...we fish several different bodies of water. After I get back from Florida we will be moving on to a different lake chain.
