My afternoon with the trout
« on: Apr 24, 2014, 07:08 PM »
Well I finally got the Chu skunk of my back that has been eating at me for 2 weeks now. I had to fish somewhere else to do it but I think it still counts:-)
Went to a local brook for an hour this afternoon and had a decent time. If the fish were each a 12oz can of Bud, I'd been passed out by the side of the river right now in a drunken stuper. My afternoon finally was halted by a beaver. Seriously  >:(

....and the beaver that ended my afternoon. Once the beaver showed up, all the action stopped.
Tough to see but swimming right under the left corner of the bridge. Not the best picture but that was because I spent a fair amount of time trying to decide if I should throw my camera at it or take the picture...

Nice job hitting the stream Charlie. I will be hitting a local one some time this weekend. Got to love those streams this time of year. Been skunked the last 3 times at the CHU but i'm not hanging it up. Going after work tomorrow and over the weekend. Luck will turn.
I fish every chance I get and enjoy every time I fish. They call it fishing not catchin

I've had beaver sidetrack a potential fishing trip but never during one.

Nice job on the trout!

I know that brook! Fun place to fish.

When I was in high school, I flipped a car over on that bridge
