OK, so the wife & me are spending a few days in the thumb area ,hitting antique shops & garage sales, & enjoying the views. Last night we walked the river walk at Port Huron & seen several folks fishing. The methods really caught my eye, (very heavy tackle). I struck up a conversation w/ a guy, who was more than happy to explain everything to us. They were walleye fishing, Using 2lb. lead weights & 50 lb. test line :o ! This guy was really happy to share his knowledge of fishing & the history of the area. We really enjoyed talking w/ him. If anyone on here knows of an older guy who has a bell w/ a different sound for each of his 3 rods, & fishes there, please thank him again for us. Sharing the knowledge is "Priceless". |
