Fishing in the Killington Area

I am heading up to a friends camp this weekend and it is in the Killington area, specifically in stockbridge. We are bringing kayaks and canoes so we can hit some local ponds/lakes. Does anyone have any suggestions for places to try out?

I'm not looking for your secret spots just a place to go in an unfamiliar area. Anyone ever fish Silver Lake in Bethel or Colton and/or Kent Pond in Killington? Those seem like the closest places. Chittenden Reservoir is also in the area but a little bit of a drive.

Take a ride down 4 into Rutland then left onto 7. Otter Creek follows 7 and is very good fishing.

I would have loved to do some creek/river fishing but with 12 guys it was too much of a circus. We ended up fishing silver lake from about 11-4PM. I managed to get a few rock bass and one other guy caught a 20inch pike. The other guys either got skunked or just landed a few small perch.
