Mich City Perch sat 7-19-14

Went for the Perch sat 7-19-14 and chose Mich. City because of reports.
Started out slow for us west of Black ditch area, lots of dinks.
We just kept moving, in and out, west and east.
Finally about 10:30 they started picking up and everyone was catching fish, seemed like
smaller schools roaming thru but some nice shoulders on most that were had.
Great day to be out with Bro Scott, and friend Dave.
22 to 25 ft, east of Black ditch a few blocks I would say, seemed that white, rootbeer and orange worked best with white being the hot ticket for us.Crappie minnows.
Ended abot 3pm with 29 total 9 to 13 inch.

Anybody recognize these guys lol, they were stealing our fish lol.
We were in friends fiber glass 21 ft boat and was a little harder to move around than the smaller boats
but was a nice boat and alot cooler.

Yea they were getting in close to find the small pods of fish, but alot of bigger fish.
good times. had to move alot to stay on them pods.

I was there also got my limit early and fished a few more hours for fun the perch were just slobs reminders of how it used to be most of mine ran 11 and one right at 14 I too was at the ditch and yes you did have to stay on them but man the rewards were worth it

Yea we were in buddys big fiber glass 22 ftr and no trolling motor-its his Salmon boat so we could just move and anchor, move n anchor.
But we had a great time.

Crazy out there today. Weekends.... Hope tomorrow isn't as bad. Guy said yesterday by 7 the parking lot was full at trail creek ramp.

Lots of boats for sure , Im glad you guys had a good day.  Wish the perch were always out there to catch...sure is hit or miss.
