Jim!  Have you caught any descent lakers so far this year, or anyone else. the lake has been very quiet. Last time out only small lakers jigging. Thanks again for your reports.

I have not been fishing for any lakers recently. I figure it is better to just leave them alone and give them a chance to come back rather than stress out a bunch of skinny fish. I have caught a few while walleye fishing though.I got a couple 24", a 26", and a few 20-22" fish. All were very shallow (7-15FOW) but they were healthy, plump fish. All were caught on worm harness's and all were released with out harm.
A buddy of mine did catch a very nice 34" laker a couple weeks ago while 'eye fishing in very shallow water. Estimated weight was 12 lb, and was very fat and healthy. My buddy's personal best! Fish was released unharmed.

Fishing has been very slow for me, also. Was out tonight for 4 1/2 hrs, no walleye, many very large 'gills-punkinseeds, one tiny perch, and one rock bass, all on harness's. Not exactly what we were looking for.
