Friday Big Pond
« on: Jul 24, 2014, 03:10 PM »
Heading out to Lake M Friday for the big fish. Weather forecast looks great. Winds out of the South chance of storms late afternoon. FISH ON! Anyone else going perching or trolling?

I won't be perch fishing but I'll ask around. Steelies and if their not hitting well then it's out to the deep blue waters for kings.

went out of the ditch this morning for perch. no good.  saw people catching steelies left and right of the rocks,  we hooked to 2 real nice ones but they got to swim another day, lot of boats trolling and catching.

Long day!!! Got up at 2:30am left the Fort by 4 am had all 9 rods in the water by 7am. Started looking for steelies up front not much showing up so we pulled up went to Michigan waters in the 250'. Fish were pretty active out deep. Caught a nice king and steelie.  We stayed with it until 6 pm ended up 9 for 15. Steelies are escape artists!

Is the depth of water 250 feet that close to shore in Michigan. Looks like you aren't even a mile out.
