Havent been on here all year.  Been really busy with my new son and a 7 week remodeling project so haven't had an opportunity to fish like I used to.  Ive been out of the loop on how you guys have been doing since I left IceShanty.  Hopefully everyone has been having a good spring/summer of fishing.  Had a chance to fish with Scott(Gupy) last Saturday and I made a video of our trip.  Had a pretty good day.  Ended up with more steelies than kings and the weather was perfect all the way around with great temps and flat calm winds.  Lake was like glass for almost the entire day.  Scott(Gupy) wanted me to post the video on here for you guys to see.  Hope you enjoy it, beware it is lengthy its almost a 22 minute video.  I also made a video for smoking salmon on my page if any of you guys want to give that a try.  Its a pretty simple recipe to follow and I think it turns out pretty good.  Enjoy.

Great job as usual on the Video! Here's some pics on the Lamprey rolls I made. They were tasty reminded me of eel. Put a jalapeņo slice  ext to the Lamprey chunk and wrap it up with bacon.  Throw in a smoker with some cherry wood.  About anything pretty good wrapped in bacon! Lamprey don't have scales so I blanched the chunks for 30 seconds took care of the slime.

That smoked salmon rocks best ever. I'm picky when it comes to rating smoked meats.  I live in Fort Wayne and the places that sell smoked meats are just ok at best. Darrin has nailed that salmon recipe! After tasting it and pounding his bag on the boat I cannot possibly fill my freezer up with enough of it to fill my own needs lol. It's addicting to say the least!!!!

Custom, I have 3 bags of vacuum sealed smoked fish in my freezer with Scott's name on them.  If you try and sweet talk him he may share.  He now has the recipe and wants me to buy him a smoker so I have a feeling that in the near future he will be very dangerous.  Scott's Smokehouse, has a nice ring to it.
