It's a beautiful lake and a darn good fishery that I do believe ( may be wrong ) that has natural lake trout population.
Shame it is so restricted to the working mans boating privileges . I ice fish the heck out of that lake and it is canoe accessible. Hopefully with the current upgrades to the new MLB launch it will be a YES lake for us folks in the future

If the state makes good on the new year round public launch and parking then those private launch sites and docks won't be worth much anymore and I will fish the open water again

YOU KNOW THE CRAPPIES ARE THERE.
o.k. where,to me an only me.start with the
thought that crappies ALWAYS  do the same
thing year after year.--SPAWN TIME IS THE BEST
time to get them.[you know they donot group by
age,but are schooled by ALL age groups.
NOTE-- males are the first to group in the
given place[check water temp.] where are
they and a what depth.please keep records

I found some old pics the other day of crappies that we hit hard when I was really young. They aren't the easiest to catch in the lake, but when you hit them, you know it.

Also... I'd love to see some pics of fish you guys have caught outta there!
