Todays catch 9/19/14

9/19/14
Well I went to lake #1 and the parking area was full so went to lake #2 and fished for about 2 hours and caught 2 keeper gills.  The wind was pretty bad on this lake.  So packed up and went to lake #3.  It was a lake that I have only fished one time in my life.  Just decided to try something different.  Turned out to be a good decision.  Didn't find the fish in deep water like I expected but found them 10 ft. out from the lily pads.  Caught 23 more fish there and they were real nice fish.  Largest was 9 3/4.  Most of these were 9+.  The SWT was 68.5 degrees and these were caught on crickets.

Nice going. The bluegill must be in transition. They are in shallow water in front of my house and also in the weeds at the drop offs. We caught 5 gills on minnows that were averaging 9.5", yesterday. And they all were right in weeds at the drop. The perch were in 10' mixed in weeds and marl bottom. Nothing big to report. Moving 3 times to other lakes seems like a heroic effort. Glad you connected with some big ones.

Parking lot was full? Lol I've never seen a full parking lot up in this neck of the woods. You scarcely see another fishing boat. Nice to know fishing is still a thriving sport in your neck of the woods. I'm guessing lake three is getting another visit soon! Lol

ya, this parking lot only held 3 vehicles.  Maybe 4 if they would have parked closer together.
