The deer around my home ate my shrubbery and trees during the later portion of the winter :'(.  Yew shrubbery and arborvitae trees were consumed to the highest point of reach :(.  They were in my yard munching away every evening and during most nights.  Felt badly for them but I hope they made it through.  Natures way of controlling the deer heard and keeping the population in check with the carrying capacity of the land.  Reality hits hard during a long extremely cold winter with a large snow accumulation that never thawed until the very end.  Raquettedacker thanks for sharing the video for all to see!!!

That is very sad.

Where are you located RD?

I am lucky to have lots of hemlocks here so they have something to eat all winter.
