What are some good lures to put on a flat line trolling for browns? I know most guys use stickbaits, but what about spoons on a flatline?

They work great - I like Cleos - the blue and silver is my favorite.
Spoons can cause a lot of line twist on long lines.
So be sure to use a trolling rudder and good ball bearing swivels before hooking up the spoon.
A snap weight before the leader helps to get the spoon down a little too. Unless you run riggers or leadcore.
I use a 6-8' low vis leader with like 8-10 pound quality fluorocarbon line.
Good luck.

I like DB smelt, speedy shiners and mooselook wobblers.

I have used many different spoons flatlining Browns cleos , locos , west rivers , krocodiles, to name a few and a good barrel swivel should be used

I do well with locos. I normally run a couple of locos and a coupe of rapalas. Some days they want sticks over the spoons and vice versa.
