Don't forget that PFD
« on: Oct 30, 2014, 02:58 AM »
Waters getting cold guys. Don't forget to wear that PFD! I'll be breaking out the Mustang today. Love that suit!

Rg
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Thanks for reminder!  Was going to start a thread on PFD's but I'll ask here.  Does anyone on here use a FLOATATION COAT?? I am leaning toward the purchase of one. Would like to hear some comments on which one works best. Mustang,Sterns or Arctic Armour?? Thanks for any info. Stay on top!!

Well, forget the Arctic Armour.  Don't believe it is USCG approved.  Mustang (the right one(s)) are.  Don't know about the others, but there probably are some.

RG, thanks for the reminder.  I'll get mine out of boat storage so'll be more apt to wear it.

I wear a one piece Mustang work PFD. It's a class5 I believe. Also great for early ice. Mustang is the benchmark!

Arctic armor is not USCG approved.

I have the Arctic Armor suit.

Gumby!

Bob's right.
It's not USCG approved.
Which means it doesn't meet the regs for 11/1 thru 5/1 boating in NY waters.
