Lake of the Woods 9/13/14
« on: Nov 13, 2014, 03:02 PM »
Talked my buddy into a trip to LOW Thursday morning. Fished from 8 to 12:30 am. We ended up with one 16" eye, one 13" perch, one nice largemouth and one large white bass. Had another eye on but lost it. SWT was 45. This might be my last trip out in the boat for the year.

Sorry guys I meant 11/13/14. I am on vacation and I think my brain wanted to think it was still September as we were sitting a boat with 22 degree air temps.LOL!

With this new assignment I do truly believe my fishing is basically over till I do permanently retire. I am headed to Green Bay tomorrow.  It is a good thing my freezer is stocked.

Only if you allow it to be over.  Traveling should afford you many new opportunities to fish in places you otherwise wouldn't fish.

One of my more memorable trips last year was ice fishing Sturgeon Bay for the whitefish --  just a short drive from Green Bay.

Just there for a week of orientation. Then on the road 4 a week. Finishing up at the terminal the last week. Then hopefully, I will have a constant route. 350 miles max. from Chicago. Out 5 and home 2. Usually, the 2 days home results in like 34 hours. Looking to double up now and then to get 4 days off. Be fishing If I can pull it off.
