All "super lines" except nanofil absorb water and stiffen or freeze up.
Personally for shore casting eyes I use plain old mono.  Since lots of light biters and "nips" the little stretch keeps me from ripping the hook out.
I was berated for fishing & asked recently by a PETA type.  You don't keep fish do you?  I responded "No I don't like aquariums. I just treat them like a quick haircut, & take a little of the sides"

[/quote  nice. Never thought about the nips. Missed two big girls at my feet the other night. Maybe would of had them with the stretch.
The day bite with the wind yesterday was good for me.landed 3 and lost 2. Close again. Going to try mono.heavy quick hits then off
need try mono.  Thanks. makes sense :flag:

Fire line-spray your spool and guids with silicone or pam cooking spray.
