Empire Pass Discount Day?

I remember reading last year about this time that DEC was selling Empire Passes for a discount.  Does that happen every year?  Is that Black Friday or Cyber Monday or after a certain date?  I  need one and am hoping to get a discount.

it is cyber monday, but last year they changed it from empire passport to 20 percent off a camping booking

Thanks.  I'll be sure to look for it.  I hope it will be the Empire Pass as I don't camp but hope to use the boat launches at the local lake.

got mine too, just got email today that empire passport charged me full price and I'm getting a refund to credit card, almost like an extra present, lol.

For what it is worth, anyone over 62 years old can get into State Parks weekdays, except Holidays, just by showing your drivers license. Some parks require a Golden Pass that you can look up on how to get on the NYSP web site.
