Was excited after church today to put the Lund on the back of the truck and head to LaPorte. I have been having a pretty good time catching perch in 25' of water in front of the pavilion. Well, I truck over there and the launch is froze up. I backed my rig down on the ice and it was probably about 1" thick near the shore. Of course, that majority of the lake is wide open but the shoreline that has the launch is locked in. So, I went over to pine and pine is wide open but the launch at Huber's was also iced in. Brought the boat home, tucked it in the corner of the garage and put the cover on it. That will probably be it even though I hear browns and lakers are being caught out front here on lake michigan. We will just see what the weather does.
