Darn!
« on: Jan 17, 2015, 09:34 AM »
I was gonna title it "d**n!", and figured it was too harsh of a word for this site.
 ;D

Anyone else ready for warmer weather and getting the boat out?

I hate winter!

I've had enough! I hate the cold, and snow just means extra work!
One more with the one we're after and we'll have two.

I Ice Fish and have two snowmobiles. Sitting in the boat wearing shorts and a T-shirt sounds much better right now.

I'm with you! I had my little boat out three weeks ago and picked up a limit of nice walleyes.. then the temp dropped and my river froze shut. Boat's still in the garage on the charger just waiting and hoping. As for ice fishing.. sorry.. but ice is for drinks! Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)

Yea, a few years back I gave all of my ice gear to my oldest son Jeff.
The neuropathy in my feet is just too painful these days.
The recent colder temps suck.
But the snow and slop is the worst.

85 and sunny please.

I'm so freeken tired of this cold, snow, freezing rain, wind chill, salt, slop, ice, etc.

Enough already.

And it's still January.

5.5 years and counting Bob.
Tic freeken tock!

 :'(

I think I'm gonna go out to Farnum this weekend, break into the storage facility, and cuddle with my boat for a little while.

I'm so ready!!  We got a teaser this week with weather into the 60's......but that's short lived in January in Montana!  Back to 20's and calling for snow coming this weekend.  I had carpel tunnel surgery in Dec so no running an auger this winter.  I'm healed enough to drag bottom bouncers in the boat though.......just need open water.......lol

My projected date for the first trip of the year........

The river near me finally opened up the other day so I got excited and put out a minnow trap.  Came back the next day to find it froze over.  Darn is right.  At least when it thaws back out it should be full of minnows.
