What ever you can afford..  If I had the bucks I would get the biggest one I could with GPS in it... ;D

Lowrance has been dumping the Gen 2 stuff since the Gen 3 has come out.
Really crazy pricing.
The HDS-7 is already sold out at Cabelas.
If I was in the market, deals like this is what I would be looking at.

I own the HDS-5 Gen 2 with Insight.
Awesome unit, but of course, I wish I had gone with one of the larger screens.

Someone here said go as large as you can afford.
I kind of agree with that.
A larger screen affords better definition and target separation typically.
Also gives you larger mini screens when you do split windows.
