I know all this run off from this snow we have is gonna make the first day of heaven (trout) season a rough one but who here is ready for it? I have new line on my spinning reel and my trout Centerpin... I have my fly rod all ready to rock and an order of lures and flies coming in from fish USA... I would say I'm pretty much ready how about you guys/gals?

I'm guessing my opening day is going to be closer to May 1st. Although, the snow is showing real signs of disappearing.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

couldn't do much ice fishing this year since I walk so I'm more than ready to go. Just bought a Quantum smoke PTi from Cabela's and can't wait to try it out

I know I've got everything ready at least twice.  Got all my lures and flies ready.  Got the raddison all set up and ready to go. Just gotta wait for the ice.

I  know   northern  ponds  will still be  iced  in !  and  i'm  betting a lot  of  catskill ones  will be too ... we  have  a lot of  ice  ...the streams  are  going to be raging ..... I  think it  will be  one  of  the  worse  and  hardest open  days  we  have  had in many years

I hiked through knee high snow to get skunked in what seemed like class 5 rapids last year. If I'm lucky, I'll still be laid off by then and I can drive south to find an open pond somewhere.

Our snow here in Steuben is leaving us very quickly... If it hurries up might be enough time for the rivers to drop a little by the first
