Yes caught a nice mess of crappie on Sunday despite the strong east winds all day. Tube jigs under a float 3-5 feet.  Buddy was getting them on minnows as well.  Was fishing off the bank. Frances slocum area.   Tried across from red bridge and didn't have much luck there, think the winds had muddied the water too much there. Talked to a couple guys who said they limited there the day before.

Bite was very good yesterday evening. Strong east winds but fish didn't mind. Tubes under bobber 2 to 5 ft.

Fished it again tonight and it was very slow. Couldn't fish where i wanted to due to the howling winds. Ended up fishing red bridge launch area trying to get a wind break and we only had 2 fish to show for it.   Soon as the weather stabilizes again for a few days the bite will pick up good. That might not be until next week at this rate.

This weather has been a real kicker here lately. Remember to renew your 2015-16 fishing license a week from now or before.

Over the years they have changed the date to renew I am just glad I don't have to do that.  Not that I am that old but I was smart enough to get a Lifetime Comprehensive Hunting & Fishing License in 1984. I am ready for a new season.

Resi is coming up fast and will be muddy, closer to the dam will be better than the river end. There calling for a low of 10 Saturday morning and a hi of 32, break back out the ice equipment.

I was gonna give the tailwaters a try tomorrow but I guess I will try a farm pond instead.

It will be a chilly one in the early morning but may be worth a shot.

Only caught 3 on the lake side but heard they were catching some nice crappie and walleye below the spillway.
