alton bay report

Looking to see if anyone could give a report on Winnie for opening day. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi XJAM, Does'nt look good for the Bay openning day. No open water to speak of, maybe room for 2 guys on the bridge shoulder to shoulder fishing straight down. lol
Of course a little open water around the Mounts dock and other bubblers/circulators. Maybe next week will be better.
Fishing is good for what ails the mind.

drove up past there yesterday - basically no open water yet to speak of.

Fished the bridge for a few on my way to my other spot Saturday in the brutal winds, there was enough Ice gone to get a good drift. I have had many of day where the Salmon held tight to the Bergs like cover. That was not the case that day. Caught 2 elsewhere on the lake on a green leech and a yellow leech pattern. Only fished a total of a hour probably, checked 6 spots.
It’s not being Cocky if you can back it up.
