open water???

IM READY!!!!!   i know all the lakes up here are still frozen...  Wondering about lakes in the southeast corner of the state...  Maybe Moodus or Pachaug???  if there is ice how is the ice???  is it starting to open???   opening day in 2 weeks???  Not up here in northwest corner...

Still ice on Gardners, but I wouldn't try it. It will go fast now. I saw  guy on Savins pond fishing by himself. Braver than me.

If you get this weekend in ,In southern ct. you would do well.After Easter sunday Maybe up north. There will still be ice,but not the safe kind.Temps staying above freezing for days

There's still ice on Rogers, unreal, only the edges are shot. I THINK it will go before the first day, but not confidant.

great guys thanks...  im pumped for open water...  this is is that lastest i can ever remember having ice...  i used to fish open water bass tournaments in late march..  thi

unless we get some warm weather,you will see ice on a few lakes for our new opening date. only two weeks from this saturday, brooks, streams and rivers will be fine.
If it was easy they would have called it catchin,not fishin

Just to clarify, isn't opening day on the 11th? I'm thinking ice in many lakes.

no ice i would get on though. went swimming one time in winter. wont do it again.

This yr we had our coldest Feb. on record, very cold March.April is not looking that warm yet. Now I start to watch a Daily Satellite photo of the great north to see when ice out is for my fly in For Walter

Ceder Lake Chester is still locked up but my local crappie hole should be open by next weekend
