Jager, I never know what to say. You catch some beautiful trout. Always impressed.  ;D

Thanks FM! We have a lot of fun on the reservoirs and once in a while we luck out and hit the laker feed just right! Appreciate the kind words! :-)

Luck out?  Thats awefully modest of you.  I'm more inclined to think you actually know what your doing!

X2    ;D
One more with the one we're after and we'll have two.
The brook trout is the prom queen of the trout world, and a promiscuous prom queen at that!

Took a Buddy out for his first time jigging and got him on to some nice fish yesterday! Bite is starting to slow down as the water has really warmed up this past week. Finding the fish is becoming a challenge too. Nice colors on these fish! All were released!  :D

Ya, very cool looking fish! Any insight as to the variation, perhaps it's a male? Never seen a laker quite this colored!

Perhaps, but it seems to be just a slightly different strain. We get them out of LG that way from time to time.

Chez, these lakers as of late are from Kensico reservoir down in lower Westchester County in Valhalla. Went out trolling today with LC and spoons and boated 19 fish! Most were small 2-3 lbs but I did get a pair iof 7's and a 6! :-)

Very nice Jagar,
Thanks for the info.Beautiful fish.
Ive been watching your post on this thread.
You get some beautiful fish.
Im from pa.Fishing Ny.my whole life.
I luv Cannonsville and Downsville resevoirs. In Ny.Im fishing them since im 17 and im 52 now.
Im hitting Cannonsville tomorrow, from what i gather,Cannonsville is down to 75% and there still draining. Its a shame those beautiful Browns and Smallies are all going to die.Whst a great fishery going to waste.
I might have to get a boat on your Dam and give it a shot.
Agsin thanks for the info, and keep those great pics comming....

Never hit Cannonsville, went to Downsville instead.
Trout were everywhere, but only 1 trout release .
Dont know what was up,they were jumping all over, more than i ever seen,10' from the boat even.
The smallies were a different story.we landed st least 2 dozen.biggest being 19 1/4.fun day

Beautiful Smallies Chez, congrats! Those are a ton of fun to fight and good Eatin' !! Awesome colors on those fish too!!

I was up in the ADKS on Fourth Lake on Saturday. Conditions were very rough making the Downriggers difficult to control so we went old school and yanked lead core with spoons letting the wind just drift us! My buddy got his first laker, he was thrilled!

Continued success!

Nice job guys!  No jigging on fourth Mike?  I have been making use of a drift sock this year.  What a helpful tool for days hat are too windy!
