I was considering launching at northville launch with my 16' boat tomorrow. Any suggestions on areas to try for walleyes.  If I do well I will report back. Thanks-Saltr.

Hope you see this before you go out in the morning. With the front that went by this PM it may be tough fishing, but I would first try up the river from the launch. Then give the east side of the lake below the bridge a try. Water temp over the weekend was in the mid 60's but I am sure it will cool off tonight. Good Luck...h2l

We were not looking but I did see one on a bed but that was it.  They were shallow though.  We saw them roaming through the bolders all day.  Easy pickings!

yes they make beds shallow. When they start roaming like that, they are also looking for bedding area's or a bed to lock down on.

LOL your response makes me laugh.  I am well aware of what smallies do and have a many over 5# to show for it.  Thanks for the free "education" bass professor.  I said we were not looking because I dont care for fishing for spawing fish.  Thats childs play.

wow...that was kind of a *ick response there buddy. I was responding to your post, because it came off like you just saw them cruising through...

congrats on the many over 5lbs  ;) thats a little light on my scale to brag about, but to each their own I guess. ... I dont fish spawning fish either bud.

I caught a 4 1/2 lb largemouth out of sacandaga today, first for me! Usually only smallies, maybe swam over from mayfield?
