I never really liked Babcock. I don't think he paid enough attention to defense, especially the last few years. Just my opinion...  8)

When we lost Nick Lidstrom left a pretty big hole to fill. Just my opinion but I always felt he was the best positional defenseman I have ever seen play. If we didn't have defensive minded offensive players would not have made it as far as they did. Like to see Scotty Bowman back. I'm leaning more for a different captain.
