Yeah, but they're offering a special permit for "Assault Cameras" for $750/year ::)

Should have waited till April 1st with this one ;D

Rg
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

now behave yourselves.
no more than 7 photo capacity on all cameras.
Just a question but I wonder how much the payoff was from the guides and charter boat captains ????????

This is great news! It was definitely the right thing for them to do. Many thanks to all those who complained, whether on here or not. Now if everyone would just complain about the so called NY SAFE Law, maybe that can be changed too.
Now go catch and release and post pictures at will. ;D  & Thanks DEC for seeing the light.

The only thing that changed is they said they will not ticket anglers for taking a picture. The law is still written that all out of season fish must be released IMMEDIATELY. If you can't figure out what the word "immediately" means, have someone read you the definition from the dictionary. They can, and hopefully will, ticket you for not releasing the fish as directed.

It's a dang fish for cripes sake, and yes I do respect the resource but if there is any one place where they could and should, it's the fly zones on the Salmon River.. They don't !!
Instead it is watched over and over as ppl drag them onto the rocks, play around getting the camera out , drop them a few times and after about 5 mins take a hundred photos of a foul hooked fish before kicking it back to the water..
Sound about right ?
